Kairos Worldwide Completes an International Lean Program
CHICAGO, Illinois (May 15, 2008) – Kairos Worldwide, a growing leader in management consulting, has recently completed a four month advisory project for a global provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for commercial aircrafts.
As a result of the Kairos study, the client was able to increase the speed and quality of services by implementing a customized version of Lean Six Sigma within their maintenance work area. The study was initiated to develop more streamlined and efficient practices within their operations. The global company sought out Kairos to reduce labor hours, overall costs and turnaround times.
The project, spanning from early February to mid May, followed a standard “Lean” format, and included a tailored methodology to ensure timely results. Kairos, placing an emphasis on consistency, communication, and sustainability, was able to impact the bottom-line by more than $100,000/year, plus labor reductions of 15% - 50% in each of the functional areas audited. The study also identified more than $10 million in annual savings thru workflow changes.
